Last time we were here in
Cornwall we found a nice touristy type shop in St. Agnes to stop in at
Pressingoll Barns to get some souvenirs and have our dinner
From there went to St. Austell
to see if we could find a bookshop that would sell local seashore
items but wasn't able to find the address or the shop
Went to Mevagissy to see if we
could find a big seashell for a gift Andy wanted to give his mother
but wasn't luck. While I was walking around town I took a few photos
of the very narrow roads the town is known for and the harbour
Stopped off at a few gift
shops but wasn't inspired to buy anything except for a small Cornwall
Flag.
Then I spotted a tiny fish
aquarium stocked with five large tanks filled with fish that were
caught in the local area.
Afterwards I decided to head
back to the car and ended up wandering past a Wicca shop called the
Lavender Pillow where I found all sorts of wonderful items. Ended up
buying my moms gift along with some souvenirs for myself.
It was starting to get late so
we headed home.
After a bit of a snack I set
off across the Cliff Path from Portscatho to Porthcurnuck beach. Got
some photos of wild flowers and some video of the local landscape. At
one point I scared myself after touching some stinging nettles and
feared it could be Giant Hogweed, which is extremely poisonous, should
it be exposed to sunlight.
Along the way I was also able
to get some video of rabbits. The hike took me a little over an hour
where it should only take about 20 minutes return because I was too
busy looking for wild flowers and animals, taking photos and just
enjoying the walk. |
